Chaga mushroom has been studied for its potential protective effects against radiation exposure. Chaga is rich in antioxidants, particularly melanin, which may help absorb harmful radiation and protect cells from damage. This mushroom also contain beta-glucans, known to support immune health, and other compounds that may reduce oxidative stress caused by radiation. Regular consumption of chaga is suggested to enhance the body’s natural defenses against environmental hazards like electromagnetic radiation, making it a valuable supplement for health-conscious individuals.

Chaga grows on birch trees in northern regions. This particular mushroom (sclerotium) is famous for its insanely high antioxidant content, as well as its ability to support immune function, weight loss, digestion, physical endurance, stomach health, and supports irregular cell transition. With a long, rich history in traditional folk medicine, Chaga has a well deserved reputation as a powerhouse mushroom. Chaga differs from most other mushrooms, as it is more of a sclerotium (or in its plural form sclerotia) than a typical fruiting body. Most people think of a normal mushroom as having a stem that is crowned by a semi-spherical cap. Chaga doesn't produce a cap like most mushrooms do. What makes up the body of the Chaga is actually a mass of hardened mycelia called a sclerotium, also referred to as a conk. This is important to understand, as there are two parts to the conk that are harvested for use in herbal medicine, the inner sclerotia and the outer crust.
Many producers of Chaga extract only use the inner sclerotia, typically only performing a dual extract or producing a standardized extract, which wastes a lot of good nutrients and limits the broad-spectrum benefits that Chaga has to offer. Very few, if any producers understand the value of the outer crust, or have the skill to transform the crust nutrients into bioavailable, full spectrum nutrition.
We are offering two specialty chaga extracts from two different types of trees. Our Diamond Crust Double Concentrate is a potent extract that contains the inner and outer part of the conk, which concentrates the outer protective qualities of the crust developed by the sun, microbial, and mineral structures (similar to shilajit). If you look closely at the crust, you will see what look like little diamonds shimmering on the surface. All of these qualities can be seen in our final freeze-dried Diamond Crust Double Concentrate powder.

Proper Use of Chaga
Chaga is a very powerful substance, and must be used intentionally and with respect. We highly recommend cycling your chaga at intervals of 4 weeks daily use, following with one week off. There are a couple reasons for this: First, Chaga works really well to detoxify chemicals and heavy metals from the body, so it is always good to take breaks and recharge after cleansing. Your body will also better utilize your chaga when you cycle on and off. Lastly, everything in nature has a balance to it. Chaga contains many different beneficial compounds, but it also naturally contains oxalates. We are able to significantly deactivate many of these through our proprietary extraction process, but there could be a small amount present in our extract, and it is good to cycle off for a week or so for every 4-5 weeks of use.
